Religion

Religion is from the Latin word ligare ‘to bind’. It was what bound people to worship of God and His teachings. But those bonds are much looser today or entirely non-existent, and in their place we have other bonds that are powerful indeed: the bonds to the employer, the state and the bank. The new trinity of the new religion.

it is your choice – o bookwright!

  2. Lailatul Adr? So you are Egyptian? But, Sidi, there is still time to go for the Laylatul Qadr, and I don’t think have met it so far this year. We expect Eid on Saturday or Sunday so thank you for the early greetings.

    Abdassamad

  3. Ya Shor-tiru

More like a picu-picu eygptian micu whatever, Abdassamad 😉
17, 24, 27 whatever or there was only one.

At the moment, I am more into ‘Open Trade’: Islamic Dinar – the Murabbituns’ View, Abdassamad and the pros and cons.

Can you direct me to the good site that I can access for free, Abdassamad?

    Jazakallahu kathiraan

    Softie School vs Hard School

I am so sorry to troule you, Abdassamad!
It is just that further to your article on Global Capitalism I have this silly question to ask that is welling in my sudur:

Is there a view point of how the exempalry economic culture of the Muslim world can be put into practice by a practitioner of the ‘Shaddali-Zarkawwi’ tariqah?

I have not read Qardawi as I am very Arab language illiterate.
While brudder Usama in Laden’s method – rather Zawahiri’s – is a bit too rough for me. Hard Schoool bullies to me who is a softie, I would tell anyone how would want to listen. But I do not hate them; just wary.

In short, I would rather have a ‘Rumi’ or ‘Hafiz’ approach. You can clik on my avatar to see my butt of the joke, Abdassamad. 😉

How would one make it work? A muslim will have put the faith and belief in the right place and time, don’t you think?

    Thank You.

  5. Is this a new avatar, Mika? You have decided you are no longer Bakri Musa? That is very clever that you can pin your identity on all these unsuspecting folk. But unfortunately cleverness is not the commodity we desire.

  6. Neither is uncleverness, Admin.
I linked this site to that website so that whoever was there should they desire it visit this site. Perhaps they may find something of value here.

As cleverness was there and so much of it was presently evident I have decided to let them to their ways. It was a cool site; but now it is too cold for me.

Now, rantingsbymm is a tiny window to one who is and still is with the belief that the Gold Dinar and Open Trade will work.

As for being MBakriMusa that I tried twice is not a desirable avatar. You could say MBakriMusa has allowed itself to morph into an anonymous.
But then is that very vain of me?

“What is a lecture hall that is out of control of the lectureer?”
Yes, cleverness is not the commodity we desire, Admin. I however wish for Hikmah. Ameen.

Is there much of the undesirable commodity here, Admin?

    Terima Kasih.

  7. Dear Abdassamad

    How was eid mubarraq?
    Alhamdulillah.

the bonds to the employer, the state and the bank

    Tea Break, O Abdassamad!
(there is the ketupa and rendang some 🙂 )

Here is a nice little story of a muslim dutch; followed by a mind-boggling tale of loss in Spain. It is about security rather.

Jaar beveiliging kost ruim 3 miljoen

    Nota:

now why is that? well, this new trinity – if indeed new at all – has opened its door to an old garden:
Where is the Muslim in all of these – eh, Abdassamad?
Do you know the history of Bani Israel well?

The way I see it it’s as if I am taking a gentle stroll with a thousand stops to smell the flowers.

    Terima Kasih

  8. Salams, Eid was indeed mubarak, and what would we be without this month and this deen and this gift of Islam?

Of Dutch I know nothing and of Ayaan Hirsi Ali slightly more, but not a great deal. The Danes are going to welcome her in, pay her bills and lodge her in some small city where she will go slowly mad starved of the oxygen of publicity. There are few places quieter than small Danish cities.

As to the bonds that bind, the new trinity’s ropes become much slacker when one tends those that bind one to the Lord of the Worlds. Either way we are bound, but to very different masters.
